Draft for recruiting use several requirements pending Government confirmation (arming authority, RUF, coverage hours). Verify before posting externally.
The Armed Security Officer provides a visible, armed deterrent presence at Building 1623 during non-business hours, protecting a leased, cleared Government facility. Officers control facility access and integrity, detect and report anomalies, respond to alarm activations, and summon appropriate authority the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) and 688 CW Facility Security Personnel. This is an observe-and-report and deterrent role, not a law-enforcement role: officers do not conduct pursuit, apprehension, arrest, or offensive engagement. Weapons are carried for deterrence and the officer's personal protection under a restrictive, defensive use-of-force policy.

Scoring key: 5 = fully meets/exceeds, 3 = adequate, 1 = marginal. Weighted = (Score χ 5) Χ Weight. Prioritize candidates who clear Gate 2 with a current, transferable clearance they most directly de-risk the pre-award staffing timeline.
The intersection of SECRET-cleared, armed-qualified, and schedule-willing is a thin labor pool. Prioritize already-cleared, already-armed candidates transitioning military Security Forces, veterans with active clearances, and retired/off-duty law enforcement in the San Antonio / JBSA area because the pre-award adjudication requirement makes sponsoring new investigations impractical on the target start timeline.
